HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE VOTING FOR

01 — REPRESENTATION IN WASHINGTON

November’s election includes one U.S. Senate seat and six U.S. House seats—choosing who advances or serves as Louisiana’s voice in Congress.

02 — DISASTER RECOVERY & FLOOD PROTECTION

Louisiana loses roughly a football field of coast every 90 minutes. Compare candidates’ plans for hurricane recovery, flood prevention, resilient infrastructure, and federal assistance.

03 — CLEAN AIR, CLEAN WATER & COMMUNITY HEALTH

Some Louisiana communities face toxic pollution far above national levels. Review candidates’ records on industrial pollution, environmental protections, clean water, and healthcare access.

04 — ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY

Louisiana’s median household income is about $60,756. Positions on jobs, wages, affordable housing, small businesses, and everyday costs affect whether families can thrive.

05 — EDUCATION & YOUNG PEOPLE’S FUTURES

Federal funding accounts for about 19.2% of Louisiana public-school revenue. Compare plans for school resources, college affordability, and workforce opportunities.

06 — CIVIL RIGHTS & ACCOUNTABILITY

Nearly one in three Louisiana residents is Black. Voting gives communities a way to evaluate officials on equal treatment, voting access, civil rights, and public service.
