Mission Statement

The Louisiana Liberation and Sovereignty Collective is a Black and Indigenous-led coalition committed to liberation and sovereignty. We honor the rich traditions and cultures of Louisiana residents, placing these values at the core of our mission. Through strengthened alignment, equity, inclusion, transparency, and empathy, we aim to create a supportive and unified community. Our vision and activities bring together organizations, businesses, and individuals to celebrate diversity and promote cultural heritage, fostering a future where everyone can thrive together.

The Louisiana Liberation and Sovereignty Collective (LLSC) is rooted in the glorious strength of our ancestors and cultures of our communities. We place the right to be who we are while honoring and supporting our people a priority. We recognize that colonized values and unhealthy ways have been pushed on our people for centuries. It is our goal to break the cycle of divisiveness in our communities and promote unity. We will continue to uplift our communities thru re-education, community outreach, beautification projects, and mutual aid.
