Michael ‘Sage’ Pellet

Sageville, founded by New Orleans native Sage Michael Pellet, was formed to change this dynamic. Its mission and vision are to place the power back into the hands of the people. Through education, advocacy and community engagement, Sageville promotes self-reliance in communities of color. The work of this grass-roots organization is to foster stewardship of the land, longevity of cultural practices and facilitation of connection to resources and relationships. This work is done in areas of environmental justice and community engagement and criminal justice reform.
